Select Performers Special Features
Below is a list of some of the special features that Select Performers gives you. It is not an exhaustive list, but gives some of the major features. Again, if any of the below features makes you scratch your head a little, you can always call us or e-mail us. We can even design and host a website for you without you going near a computer! We would discuss what you require as part of our friendly consultation process.
Most musicians are far too busy being musicians- performing, teaching and practicing. We do the work for you so that you can get on with what you actually want to do!
As a member of Select Performers you will receieve the following:
- A web site with your biography, repertoire
and contact details together with pictures.
- A free forwarding e-mail address which
is dependent on the directory you belong to- for example your.name@vocalwebsites.com
or your.name@ensemblewebsites.com
- All incoming and outgoing e-mail through
your Select Performers address is automatically scanned for viruses.
If a virus is contained you will be sent an e-mail warning you that
a virus was detected.
- All your e-mail is filtered for SPAM.
If spam is detected the e-mail is sent to you with 'SPAM' in the subject
line so that you can easily filter out unwanted e-mail using your e-mail
software.
- You are automatcally listed on the
Select Performers directory which is designed to raise the profile of
your website and making it easier for the web surfer or Select Performers
Member to find your site.
- We submit your site to all the major
search engines.
- We will update your site as part of
your package for free. The number of free updates depends on the package.
If you exceed your free updates then we can update or change your site
for an additional fee. Updates include rewording or changing text in
your biography or repertoire lists for example or changing a photo.
You also have eligibility for the following:
- POP3 e-mail addresses including webmail
so you can access your e-mail anywhere in the world.
- An online concert diary which you can
update whenever you want. This will appear on your website so that you
can advertise forthcoming concerts or show your past concerts.
- Online consultation form for either
teaching or performing (or you could combine the two.)
- An audio/video page which can contain
audio excerpts of some of your performances or compositions, or even
the provision of video clips. These are streamed so that the viewer
can listen to your clips as they download (instead of waiting until
the whole clip has loaded).
- Your own domain name can be acquired-
eg. www.yourname.com. See the domain section
for more details.
- Instead of hosting your site on the
Select Performers servers we can host your site individually.
